Hi all. Need a bit of help.

I got Jamcast yesterday, set up spotify etc.I found the server on my PS3 but when I go to virtual soundcard, all I get is the audio from my built in mic on my laptop. I have been through all the settings on my soundcard and in Jamcast but cant seem to get any audio apart from the noise my mic is picking up.

    Please can you help? Confused

    Hi ryrazzer,

OK, so have you been to the Windows Recording Mixer to see the selected recording input, and change it to Stereo Mix if possible? What did you see there, and what were you able to verify or change?

If you haven't done that yet, let me know and I'll walk you through the process.

    Thanks!

    Hi ryrazzer,

    Sure thing.

First double-click on the speaker icon in the Windows system tray to bring up the playback mixer.

Next, choose Options/Properties, switch the radio button over to Recording and make sure all of the volume controls are selected in the list below.

Hit OK and you'll be at the recording mixer. Do you see a slider labeled Stereo Mix, Wave, What U Hear, or anything similar? Right now presumably your microphone is selected, but you'll need to change it to one of those.

Hope this helps. Let me know how you do, and if you're still having trouble we'll take it from there.

    Thanks!
