Scott and interested parties... I did it, I have confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Microsoft either lied, or chose specifically to not support XP's Media Player 11 playing files from a remote location in order to entice people to give up and upgrade to Vista and/or Windows 7. While they support running the Media Player 11 (or 10 with the old addon Media Connector) on XP and sharing it all over the place...according to Microsoft you can not use the internal UpNp support to use Media Player as a client to access servers remotely such as JamCast. They actually comment that this is because of supposed limitations in the OS. I have found it very... very difficult to run down something that actually works period to use a "software" media player or connector/renderer as least on XP. Alot of plugins or products say they will do it, but unless there is some magic button that they have that makes it work, I certainly couldn't and over and over I read forums... where many many other people had problems too. Anyway I have FINALLY found at least an Audio Player (I haven't even looked to see if it supported anything else...Audio is all I wanted) That WORK's first time just like Jamcast works the first time! The interface isn't all that great.. needs some work... I have no idea of the actually sound qualities as compared to other players, but it works! And works nicely even with Cover Art! So if anybody wants a player solution for XP (Vista or 7 you'll probably want to use Media Player 11 or 12).. that works nicely with JamCast (at least so far so good!) it is called 4u2Stream. The URL is http://4u2stream.4u2sites.com/, had to find it on Google... Bing wouldn't find it... wonder why?! Glare I know there have been some users that have had difficulty getting it to work with one product or another... but with Jamcast (at least with Scotts latest code) it just works... I'm am listening to music from my Jamcast Server on my XP machine... as I type this! Just some information for someone that may be as interested in this kind of solution as I was... Now I can go put it on all 3 of my kid's XP boxes and see how it works! Thanks to Scott again for all his HELP!! and Patience explaining UpNP for this newbie!

Cheers!
