    Hi Scott,

Will follow the thread you pointed out re. Track ordering. I'm using a Philips SLA5520. Great thing about Jamcast so far is that it can handle playlists correctly (which fuppes struggles with).

    cheers

    John

Hey John, just curious -- to what effect does Fuppes not handle playlists correctly?

    Thanks!

    Hi Scott,

Fuppes has a problem with relative playlists e.g

two .m3u playlist files created under WMP

    File 1.m3u
    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:290,Grateful Dead - Good Lovin'
    01 Good Lovin'.flac

plays as the file is in the same directory as the flac file, whilst

    File 2.m3u

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0,01 Suite- Judy Blue Eyes.flac
    \\Server\Music\Crosby, Stills & Nash\Crosby, Stills & Nash\01 Suite- Judy Blue Eyes.flac

will not play as it cannot resolve the location correctly. Jamcast works fine with either playlist.

Wow - Simple and quick to install - works out of the box - does what it promises to do!!

I have 2 soundbridges use iTunes v9.0 - listen to Pandora - have a library of 15K and enjoy using the "Genius Mixes" and guess what?

    Jamcast does it!! Great Job!

    Thank You - Greg

First impression? It took about five minutes to get it up and running (win 7, soundbridge, and pandora). Worked perfectly right out of the box (ether?).

    Thanks.

Sorry to raise this thread from the dead but I just had to say "thank you" for solving this ongoing dilemma for me with your wonderful, easy to use software. I had tried EVERYTHING, (including TVersity), without success until I stumbled upon Jamcast last night. Now I can stream Slacker from my Kitchen Touchsmart PC to my PS3/HT in my Family room.

    Hi robdam1001,

Thread bumping is OK in this situation. Wink

Seriously, I appreciate the kind words and I'm very happy to hear that Jamcast is working out for you. Stop by any time if you need anything.

    Thanks!

    Hello,
I use it together with my Denon-AVR-3808. Installation was a problem, because JamCast loads wrong version of Dot.Net.File (I'm from germany). After manual setup, Jamcast starts. Only restriction to me is, that only a maximum of 1500 files can be randomized...
But random list is a very good feature, neither twonky or tversity has....
Streaming my own music (mp3 from all of my CDs) is all, I'm interested in...
So, very good to me (and excelent, when the number of random files will be increased)...
    Regards from germany

    Hi

Came across this from the roku forums as i was having problems with playlists.. gave it a go and WOW.. nice piece of software which works without problems to my two (wireless/wired)Soundbridges... it also sorted my playlist problem as well.. as it supports m3u ... also liked the virtual sound card idea which i've still to try...

Installed onto my WHS and pointed to the itunes music share of just under 9k songs and it just worked...

Also tried on my win 7 laptop with a mapped drive to the itunes share and after changing the jam service account login it works great... i like the idea of puhing out what is playing on the laptop to the soundbriges...

Well Done Scott !!! Smile Smile

    Dear Scott:

Jamcast rocks... solved pretty much every problem I'd had using Soundbridge with three different computers, all configured and used differently. After using many Beta versions, I just gladly pony'd up the $$ for registration. Many thanks for the excellent product and support. What a rarity!

    Best,

    Patrick
