markroku wrote:Hi... I've been using Jamcast for awhile and for queing up music and getting it played through my Roku M1001's it works great.
However, I'm having some problem with the playlists I have on WMP showing up on the M1001 while using Jamcast. I just have one "set" playlist and when I try to use it the Jamcast server only picks up on one artist in the list while there are probably 6-10 different artists represented. The artist isn't even the first or last alphabetically on the list and for that matter the list is shuffled in WMP so I'm not sure how Jamcast picked the one artist, but it does pick the same one each time.
I also have a number of "auto" playlists that are generated by WMP based on different criteria I've specified and do a different playlist each time within those criteria. Those "auto" playlists don't show up at all on the M1001 using Jamcast so obviously don't work at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
Hi Mark,
If you take a look at your importlog.txt logfile, located in the Jamcast installation directory, you may see errors related to the import of this playlist of yours. What you report sounds like problems reading the playlist, yet the one artist Jamcast gets right clearly has no issue.
If you need help with interpreting the logfile, please feel free to paste it to
http://pastebin.org and share it here and I'm happy to take a look at it for you.
Regarding the auto playlists, this is the expected behavior as WMP doesn't store those on disk in WPL files like your user playlists. If this is something you'd really like to see in the future, let me know and I'll add it to the enhancement tracker on your behalf.
Thanks!
