Hi Scott,
as I have only one DNLA Device = AVR 3808a, I have a question:

Does jamcast cut off mp3 titles ? Or is it my Denon ?

I get a title named Motorboat displayed as "Motorboa"
or
From the Pogues, I see only Pogue and the title is "The gentlemen soldier" but is displayed as "The gentlemen soldie"...

Also "The Who" is displayed as "The wh" and Sally Simpson is only "Sally Simpso"

It looks like one of both cuts all single informations by one byte !

Perhaps one with a Denon AVR could also answer....

Hey Peter,

Sounds like an issue on this end to be honest. Want to email me a small sample track that can reproduce the issue in case I don't have a good test case here?

If this is a problem on the Jamcast side, I'll have it fixed in a jiffy. A version 1.1 release is on the horizon.

Thanks!
Scott

Hello Scott,
sorry for the delay, but I had lots of work this week....

I found a way to use media player with jamcast, its really easy, but I always searched the menus of Media Player to find a connection point to jamcast, but clicking on "network" did the trick...

Working with the same random playlist showed every track as it should be, so the problem is my Denon AVR 3808, the display on the receiver and on the TV screen cuts up every last character of the MP3 media information (title, artist and album).

So, jamcast does the job well, I wrote a mail to Denon support, but have very less hope to get a solution. Denon builds excellent HIFI parts, but german support..... It's the story of the "three blind mice" or "deaf, dumb and blind"....Confused

Regards from good old europe,
and I look forward to version 1.1 BigGrin

Hi Peter,

Interesting. Well, if you're sure it's the Denon, then I hope they fix that for you. If you'd still like me to take a look at one of the tracks that are getting cut off, just to be sure, I'd be happy to.

Thanks!
Scott

Hi, Scott
when I did everything right (Call "network", double click in JamCast, Select Playlist -> Random Playlist ) and then music starts in Micro$oft Mediaplayer, and Title, Artist and Album ist correctly shown....

So I think, I can be sure...

Can you give an info, when Jamcast 1.1 is deployed and what will be new ?

Kind regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,

OK, sounds good. Smile

Jamcast 1.1 was just posted: http://www.sdstechnologies.com/Downloads.aspx

I'll be posting a summary of changes in version 1.1 to the blog soon, but in the meantime you can have a look at the changelog if you like: http://www.sdstechnologi.../1.1.0.65/changelog.txt

Enjoy!

Thanks,
Scott
