The soundcard is found under My Music/Playlists/Virtual Soundcard, but is not activated as is the case for PS3 at the same network when I do play Spotify from my laptop with Windows 7 installed. Any cure for this problem?

Hi steinrj,

Thanks for stopping by.

To clarify, are you saying that you are having success with the PS3, or you aren't?

Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying -- I wasn't sure what direction to go in. Smile

I don't believe we've had any reports of anyone trying Jamcast with the Panasonic Blu-ray players, so you'll be the first.

First, if you wouldn't mind pasting your upnplog.txt and medialog.txt to http://pastebin.org and then share it here, I can have a look at a few things there.

There are a few tweaks at our disposal to get this working. Open Jamcast Server Manager and click on the Devices tab, then right-click the device entry that represents the DMP-BD85 and choose Properties. Set ForceMP3CaptureStream to True, apply your changes, and restart the Blu-Ray player to ensure it hasn't cached anything, then try again.

Let me know what differences this makes, if any, and with your logfiles I'll have some more things to try when you check back in.

Thanks!
Scott

Thank you very much for your effort on this issue. Ufortunatly, setting ForceMP3CaptureStream to True did not solve the problem. Please find enclosed upnplog.txt and medialog.txt.

Hi steinrj,

OK, set ForceMP3CaptureStream back to False. Is the IsDlnaCompliant setting set to True? If not, set it to True and apply your changes, then restart the device and try again.

It's possible that Jamcast is not treating the DMP-BD85 as a DLNA device, and therefore the device doesn't recognize the playback formats available for the Virtual Soundcard.

Thanks!
