Hi,

Just a quick thank you. If it works this well for the entire trial I will definitely buy.

Jamcast installed on ACER 6920g with windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.

Streams to my panasonic viera D25 tv using these settings:

Devices> Properties> Panasonic D25(I renamed this)>

isdlnacompliant= true

enableseektrickmode = true

forcemp3capturestream = true (not essential but tried to reduce delay, dont think it did though)

maximumbitspersample = 32

maximumnumberofchannels = 6

The last two I would guess are related to my sound card, when it didnt work initially the log file had " ERROR: Unable to initialize WASAPI audio capture client (HRESULT=0x8889000f, format=PCM 32-bit 48kHz 6 channels) " so made those changes and it seemed to do the trick.

MP3 play fine and virtual soundcard fine with a 15 second delay.

Interestingly the mp3 had a 3 second delay, so presumably the television has less than 3 second delay and since both over wireless it would seem jamcast is delaying the virtual soundcard. I tried changing the capture buffer size but didnt seem to help.

So thanks a million.

p.s. to turn off your laptop speakers press mute, reducing volume wont work because of the way windows 7 links speaker volume to player volumes, silly thing

Hi Frank,

Thanks for posting this. Could you also paste your upnplog.txt (or share it to pastebin.org)? In there I can grab some additional information and combined with the data you provided her can a built-in device profile for these TV's. That way Jamcast will automatically identify and set all this stuff for you automatically in the future.

I'll take care of this immediately. The upnplog.txt is located in the Jamcast install folder.

Regarding the 6-channel audio, if you're not actually using 6-channel audio you can turn that off via Windows (under Playback Devices, edit the properties of your audio card to set the number of channels to 2). Jamcast just lobs off the extra channel info anyhow, so it's not necessary to have. I think this would be the preferred setup versus telling Jamcast that the Viera supports 6-channel audio (but I'll wait to hear back from you on that to be sure).
