I'm attempting to get Jamcast to work correctly with my Barix Exstreamer. Another Barix user showed me how to configure the Exstreamer to receive the audio stream from JamCast.... however the audio is a mess.
WMP files have a ten second delay or so before playing, and then when they do, the audio is choppy and plays over itself. YouTube video audio plays back at increased speed sounding like chipmunks.
Any idea how to approach this problem?
Thanks,
Paul
BTW - Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for writing. Sorry to hear you ran into some problems with the audio quality here.
What kind of CPU do you have in the system running Jamcast?
Also, could you paste your medialog.txt to
http://pastebin.org
and then share it here? I'll look in there for some clues as to why you've got such bad quality...
Thanks!
Scott

Hey Scott,
I solved it by reinstalling Windows 7. I checked it out on another W7 box of mine and it worked perfectly. I had previously installed the LakeofSoft streamer that Barix had on their sight (that doesn't work with W7), and I think that it was messing things up.
Looks like I'll be buying this product as it works FLAWLESSLY with my setup.
Thanks!
Paul

Hi Paul,
Wow, that's great. I'm glad you were able to solve with a Win7 reinstall because if it was related to the Barix software we would have never figured your problem out.
Glad you're happy and thinking of purchasing Jamcast. Please let me know if I can be of additional assistance.
Thanks!
Scott
