Jamcast Beta 1.5 (build 0.9.5.25) has been released and is now available for download. This release features a number of enhancements and fixes in a variety of different areas, including:
iTunes playlists: Jamcast now recognizes iTunes library files and shares your iTunes playlists and referenced audio tracks. Simply make sure that your iTunes library (typically at MyDocuments\My Music\iTunes) is being shared by Jamcast and your iTunes playlists are automatically scanned and made available.
Windows Media Player 11/12 compatibility: Jamcast is now recognized by WMP11/12 and works with WMP12's new "Play To" feature (experimental, your feedback on this is appreciated).
New device compatibility: Several improvements were made to Jamcast's DLNA spec implementation, which makes it compatible with even more devices including Sony's DLNA-compatible HDTV's.
A full list of changes in Beta 1.5 are listed below. Beta 1.6 has already been started and will add album art support and will address any high-priority bug reports received for Beta 1.5.
