Feel free to tell me why DLNA or something doesn't allow this, but is there any way that when I hit Play/Pause on my client device, the jamcast server software could relay that as a keypress to the serving PC? Ditto for Skip.

I know some form of two way communication is possible in some circumstances--PS3MediaServer allows you to change some internal program settings from the client.
