First let me say Great product Scott! I'm really happy I found it. Can you assist me with playing random tracks from 'My Music' subfolders?

I'm using Jamcast with Roku M2000. I am able to play random tracks from 'My Music' folder, but not from the sub-folders.
If I go to Jamcast Sharing and select one of the sub-folders, I can add it, but it says 0 tracks are shared.

Thanks,

Wyatt

Hi Wyatt,

Thanks for stopping by with the kind words. Smile

So, are you referring to the Random Tracks playlist? Just wanted to be clear on that.

And you've got C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\My Music shared? If so, does the track count there reflect the correct number of tracks within that folder and all subfolders?

Just FYI, if you add additional subfolders to the Shares tab, it's normal that they show 0 tracks -- it's because they are already being shared by the parent folder, and each track can only be assigned to a single share.

Thanks!
Scott

Hi Scott,

Yes, I'm referring to the random tracks playlist. I have about 10,000 tracks, and 1,000 sub-folders in 'My Music', but Jamcast Sharing indicates 857 tracks.

Interesting.

Well, the importlog.txt will have have plenty of detail in there as to what's going on. You can peruse it on your own, or if you'd prefer you can paste it to http://pastebin.org and share the link here so I can take a look for you.

Thanks!

Hi Wyatt,

Thanks for posting the logfile. There appears to be a few different problems with MP3 imports from your collection. Do you know what software was used to rip/encode these files?

Anyhow, it would be most helpful if you could provide me with samples of each problem type so that I might reproduce and subsequently fix the problem here. Here would be some good examples for me to be able to test against:

C:/Documents and Settings/Tom/My Documents/My Music/Enya/Enya - Watermark - 07 - Orinoco Flow.mp3

C:\Documents and Settings\Tom\My Documents\My Music\Annie Lenox - Why.mp3

C:\Documents and Settings\Tom\My Documents\My Music\Frankie & The Knockouts - Sweetheart .mp3

Would you be able to email those files to me? If any are too big for email (say, more than 10MB) let me know and I can see if there's another example that might be smaller. My email address is support@sdstechnologies.com, and I should be able to get you a fix in the next couple of days.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
Scott
