Ok I heard about this great piece of software and had to try it.
Install was no problem and I pick up the jamcast server on the PS3 no problem.
I'm running a samsung N140 on XP
Netgear router DG834PN
I get 48Mbps across the wireless network
First problem is tht I can't see any of my MP3 files on the PS3. I am going through 'Music' on the XMB, however whatever directory or playlist i look at is either blank or 'There are no tracks'. The jamcast service manager can see the PS3 fine.
Second problm is probably more Samsung related. The Virtual soundcard (which works a treat) has its volume fully controlled by the netbook. No matter how I turn the volume down on the netbook the volume goes doen on the PS3. This means that I have to have the netbook blaring to hear it with equal volume through the PS3 and as its a netbook there is no external volume control. even the 'FN' volume down keys affect the volume on the PS3. Note I had to use the 'Stereo Mix' workaround. Even the speaker volume on the 'Sounds and audio devices' had the same effect. With the audio delay betweent he netbook and PS3 this kind of ruins the experience.

Hi Pete!
Thanks for stopping by. A couple of questions for clarification if you don't mind:
1) On the Sharing tab in the Jamcast Server Manager, do you see nonzero item count(s) for each of your shared folders?
2) What was the reason for having to use Stereo Mix -- are you an XP user?
Thanks!
Scott
