Hey Scott, Me again just trying to give you some more tech support to answer, like you have time enough to answer all our dumb questions. Anyway I had a couple of things pop-up that I thought I would throw out there. The First was I was in the middle of adding to my library and everything was updating fine on a particular album until it got past 8 tracks or so and it just froze on the client. So I did everything I could think of, I closed Windows Media, I reopened it, still nothing. Rebooted, still nothing other than JamCast is no longer even seen as a viable shared server. Hmmm, well I decided to check my quote unquote server (why it wasn't obviously down is because I do not even have a monitor or keyboard or anything on it.) Sure enough the JamCast service was stopped. I looked through all the Jamcast logs and no indication of any errors or issues. Then I went to Windows event logs and I got overloaded real quick with warnings and errors. The first was and the reason for the service stopping was that Windows reported (and for clarification this is on the server side) System Access Violation. Attempted to read or write protected memory. Several warnings leading up to that were socket exceptions on upnp. And finally while streaming I keep getting hard disk errors regarding paging files on a Disk or Drive that does not even exist. Actually it is a CDROM drive, that does happen to have a CDROM in it (not sure why) but why in the world would it attempt to be pagefile accessing that CDROM drive. I could even expect another hard drive (which is hung externally) but not it trying to use a CDROM drive? Any ideas? And once the service stopped those errors stopped too. I am going to go to several of the links that Microsoft lists along with the errors just to see if anything make sense. But I just thought I would run it by you. Later! Hope you had a good weekend!
