Hey.

After installing Jamcast on my computer and tested it on my ps3 slim, I discovered that the microphone playback issue using the virual soundcard stream also was the case for me.

However, after looking through the different posts I think I've found a solution to why it streams my microphone rather than my speaker output.

But after I rebooted my computer, I get this message when trying to run Jamcast (ver 0.9.7.44): "Beta Version Expired: This beta version of Jamcast has expired. Would you like to be redirected to the Jamast website now to download the latest version?"

I've tried reinstalling it many times, rebooted etc, but still Jamcast fails to run.

Help me please Smile

Hi Shaxman,

Is the system date/time correct on the PC you've got Jamcast installed on? The 0.9.7.x license shouldn't expire until 12/1.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks!

Yes, the time and date settings on my computer should be correct.

For some "magic" reason I was able to run it again the next day.
I still have to work out how to fix the virtual soundcard problem.

I'm using SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio. From its control panel I can choose "Stereo Mix" to be the recording device. When I do this, the ps3 actually streams the same sound as my computer speakers does (with delay), but with extremely low volume. With my TV speakers at 100% volume, the sound is still low (way too low from what should be normal/expected)

Thank you for your swift response!

Hi Shaxman,

Strange about the initial issue. The only other time someone had reported this, their system clock was wrong. Wink

Regarding Stereo Mix, I'm assuming you're installed on Windows XP so if this incorrect please let me know.

If you open the Windows sound mixer, you can change to the recording mixer via the Advanced menu option. When you see the Stereo Mix slider in the mixer, make sure it's as high as you can get it without distortion.

Does that help?

Thanks!
