Hi Scott
I've not been keeping up with progress here and it’s great to see that you've made many improvements to Jamcast since my last visit.

One of the problems I have with my media mad family is having all music in one large library. I would like to have up to 4 named libraries that allow each individuals music to be stored quite separately.

Apparently they don't like all my old c**p being mixed up with their cool stuff (makes searching and accessing playlists more difficult).

This way I could give individual access to the relevant share without risking access to other people’s media files. (They would probably delete many of my tracks given the chance!) They could also then upload tracks without involving me!

Also would it be possible to add some sort of scan option that allows a time interval between scanning for new media in the library, with the ability to switch off auto scanning altogether?

Good to see you around again. Thanks for the kind words. Smile

I totally "get" your situation and have pondered this enhancement to Jamcast for quite some time actually... I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement because essentially it would require Jamcast duplicate itself for each new server instance. The network services, configuration, and database would all need to be separate. I'll put it on the list and see what it would take to get this done...

Regarding the scan options, this is another great idea that I agree needs to be addressed. You might say this is already on the product roadmap, but as far as timeframes I can't really say at the moment. Just know that I know this needs to be done. Smile
