Hi, my XBOX360 is unable to find jamcast. It does however find others such as playon and ORB. Any ideas?

Hi prawl,

Thanks for stopping by. Sorry to hear you ran into some trouble.

Does the Xbox360 show up (with the pretty icon) on the Devices tab in Jamcast Server Manager?

For troubleshooting purposes, I'd recommend shutting down all other UPnP/DLNA software running on the same PC as Jamcast (Orb, PlayOn, WMP, etc.). I'd also recommend shutting down your firewall if you're running one. Once all that is shut down, restart the Jamcast service and reboot the console as well and see if you do any better.

Thanks!
Scott

Hi Mathyyas,

The 2 most common problems here are firewalls (which you say you already shut down) and other UPnP software. Are you running any other UPnP software on the same PC where Jamcast is installed? If you so, please stop them and then restart the Jamcast service.

Also, were you sure to restart the Jamcast service after you stopped the firewall?

Hope this helps.

Thanks!
Scott
