Hi

I've just downloaded Jamcast on trial with an option to make a purchase if only I could resolve this one problem: Virtual Soundcard doesn't seem to play on my Xbox 360.

I can see Virtual Soundcard, but when I click on it, it gives me the following error message: Unplayable content - The connection to your computer is lost .. etc

Status code: 03-04-800704B1

This only happens when I try to pick up a stream from Jamcast. It plays audio via Windows Media Center very well but what I want to do is stream Spotify to my xbox so WMC doesn't quite cut it.

I've checked all the firewall settings etc.
Is there anything I've missed? My router is the BT Home Hub

many thanks
Idlan

Hi idlan,

Thanks for stopping by to report this issue. Hopefully we can get it resolved quickly.

Would you mind pasting your medialog.txt to http://pastebin.org and sharing it here so I could take a look?

Thanks!

Hi Idlan,

Thanks for sharing that.

Have you tried just streaming an MP3 file or other audio file off disk to the Xbox 360? Any success there?

Your logfile looks a little strange to me. Version 1.1 was posted just a couple of days ago. It's certainly possible this is a new problem, so I want to give you a download link to Version 1.0 so you can try that:

http://www.sdstechnologi..._setup_1_0_0_43_x86.exe

You'll have to uninstall 1.1 before you install 1.0, but it's an easy upgrade back to 1.1.

Thanks!

Scott

Sounds good.

In the meantime I've identified a new issue in Jamcast 1.1. More accurately, this is a bug on the 360 that's now become a problem with some new functionality in Jamcast 1.1.

I'll have a build out today to correct this issue. Hopefully version 1.0 will keep you jammin' until then. Wink

Thanks!

Hi Scott,

Ran the server with 1.0 and it works beautifully. I also moved my router closer to my study to see if that had any effect. Uninstalled 1.0 and reinstalled 1.1 - got the same error message so I deduced it was no longer a network problem.

Reinstalled 1.0 again and RHCP are singing happily about Snow in my living roomSmile

Many thanks again for your help - if you need any more logs do let me know.

Hi Idlan,

Great, I'm glad to hear it.

Version 1.1.1.66 is posted now actually, if you'd like to check it out. I'm fairly certain that it's good to go, but if you could verify it for me I would feel a lot better. Wink

You can download here: http://www.sdstechnologies.com/Downloads.aspx

Hope you enjoy. Smile

Thanks!
