Hi All,
I have WHS running in a virtual machine (VMWare Server 2.0) on an HP Proliant ML15 G5. There is no hardware soundcard.

My question is, has anyone successfully implemented Jamcast in this scenario - in particular the ability to stream a source via the virtual sound card. I’d like to be able to relay music received via the BBC iPlayer.

Many thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I've not tried this, or heard of anyone trying this before. It should be technically possible if the VM can emulate a soundcard that supports Stereo Mix or the equivalent. I use Microsoft Virtual PC, and run those VM's on a PC that does have a hardware audio adapter, so my insight here is limited.

I hope someone stops by that is more helpful. Smile

Thanks!
Scott
