Hi, Scott
is a there a new version planned which some of the requested features ? I had some requests, I wrote that a few month ago. Since that, no response was given at all..
To remind, I had the following (sometimes in March, and April) requests:
Selectable share folders:
Instead of a mix of all shared folders, one should be able to select this shares, when playing, so a submenu below playlists should be displayed, with "All", "share 1", "share 2"....
This would help to separate the kind of music, i.e. rock from classics, native language songs and whatever.. I have organized my mp3 in that way (Jazz, Rock, native, Classical, Folk, ...) I always have to stop the one share and insert another share to have that music type I want to hear at a special time.. In your reply to my mail, you told me, that this would be easy to implement....
Next was to have a way to define, how long a song must be at least to be played in the random playlist. Specially on live performances, there are short anouncements or only audience clapping, which is defined as a separate track, only 20 or 30 seconds long. And random playing brings this "spare tracks" and play it. This is annoying, when having lots of live CDs ripped to mp3.
Regards from germany
Peter

Hi Peter,
Thanks for stopping by. Hope all is well.
Your requests are definitely in our issue tracker. We're shipping version 1.2 of Jamcast very soon, so don't think there's no development going on!
I thought I had responded to your ideas, but if not I apologize. As far as scheduling them for development, that's not happened yet. Work items are scheduled for development based on a variety of factors, and it's a very fluid process, so it's impossible to say when or if a given enhancement or bug will be addressed in the software. And there are always more requests then there are hours in the day.
Hope you keep the ideas coming!
Thanks!
Scott

Hi, Scott
nice to hear that with last.fm and adroid, but...
I never used last.fm and I will not use any android mobile phone, because google is a data seeker and data monster....
And I only use jamcast at home...
