First of all i want to complement you with great software! I was looking for months for this kind of software...
But, i have one question.... When i run the server, it first finds my PlayStation-3. So far so good, this works perfectly over my Netgear WNDR3700 Router.
Over night my laptop was on and the server was running. This morning the Jamcast server found my Netgear router as new device for over 70 times... And it still stays finding "new" devices. In other words, the devices tab is loaded with tons of servers Jamcast found.
Any one has a clue why this is happening and how i can prevent this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi rgestel,
Thanks for stopping by to report this. This is an annoying bug in Jamcast 1.5 that we're working on in hopes of including in a quick maintenance release.
Would you mind emailing your upnplog.txt to the support email address below? It might be helpful in resolving this.
Thanks for your patience as we work to resolve this defect!

Hi Scott,
I'm seeing the same behavior with multiple instances of my internet gateway router (also a NetGear). Would it be helpful for me to send my logs, as well, or do you have enough data on this already?
-Jambo
BTW, I always have trouble loading and navigating the sdstechnologies web site, using Firefox. It times-out over and over again, and I must reload pages most of the time in order to get them to display. Ultimately, I'm able to get to each page (as you can tell from this note), but I don't have this problem with any other web-site or with IE (which I don't like as well as Firefox). Just thought you'd like to know.

Hey Jambo,
Thanks for letting me know. I think I've got enough data on the issue already, although am having trouble reproducing it as consistently as with the Netgear routers themselves.
Regarding the website, I'm not seeing any issues nor getting any other reports on this. Are you still seeing the troublesome behavior?
Thanks!
Scott

FYI: the Jamcast 1.5.1.111 maintenance release has been posted and is available to all registered users. This update does fix the multiple device (eg. Netgear routers) problem.
It'll be pushed out to all users via the new updates notification in the next few days.
Thanks!
Scott

Hi Scott,
I've installed 1.5.1.111, and the server continues to work well. However, when I try to discover devices through the Jamcast Server Manager utility, the utility works for about a full minute, displays the scroll-bars, as if it's got a list of devices to display, and then crashes (or at least the gui disappears). When I check the uPnP logs, it looks like Jamcast is finding an appropriate number of devices and sends acknowledgment for each. All the while, the server continues to run and stream music to one of the devices, and presumably could stream to each of them, without incident.
Best Regards,
Jambo

Hi Jambo,
Thanks for reporting back. I would suggest stopping the Jamcast service then deleting JAMCAST.DAT as it sounds like you need to clean up your device database and get rid of all those duplicate entries. Please be advised though that you'll lose your media shares and any custom device settings as well.
Hope this gets you back to normal finally.
Thanks!
Scott
