I apologize if this has already been answered; I did try to search.
For some reason Jamcast on my 360 creates a new "Artist" entry for every single track by that artist. For instance, if I have a Pearl Jam album with 12 tracks, Pearl Jam in my Artist tab shows up 12 times.
Is there some way to fix this behavior? It doesn't show up like this in any other service, so I don't think it's a metadata problem.

Anyone else seeing this on their 360? I am not.
epburn, I'm looking into this.
Thanks!

Any luck? I can't make heads or tails of why it displays this way, and it's really annoying.

Maybe this will shine a little light on the issue; I let the trial expire (because of this bug) and notice now I can see, in the artist listing, what looks like an attempted list of "Trial Expired" artists but it's interspersed with the artists in my collection.

Hi epburn,
Sorry for the long delay in response, the Xbox 360 hardware on my test bench is failing so I had to acquire another.
I cannot reproduce this issue on my end with the 360 or anything else. It's possible this was a hiccup during the initial scan of your media, or it could be related to the way your tracks happen to be tagged (although I doubt that).
What I'd like to suggest is an uninstall and reinstall so that the database is completely built from your collection. I've renewed your trial license so you'll receive another 14 days upon installation. If you are still seeing this problem, I'd like to ask you to zip up your database file (JAMCAST.DAT) and email it along with a sample track whose artist is repeating.
Thanks for your patience with me on this!
Scott
