I am using Windows 7 on my netbook to stream grooveshark to my xbox 360, all the songs have no bass or treble even when my receiver has them amplified. When not streaming to my xbox, the songs on grooveshark have bass coming out of my netbook speakers. I have it setup to use Windows Core Audio Engine, and when I tell it to play a song downloaded on my computer there is bass and treble coming throughmy surround sound, so it appears just to be a problem with the virtual sound card. What can I do to get good sound quality from the vitrual sound card?

Thanks

Hi Dcodem,

The audio capture by the Virtual Soundcard should definitely be the same quality as the source (or at least fairly close if you're transcoding to 320kbps MP3 using ForceMP3CaptureStream).

If you right-click the speaker icon in the Windows 7 system tray and choose "Playback devices", what devices do you see listed there? If you have more than a single entry, decide which is "default" and double-click it, then choose the Advanced tab. What is the current Default format?

Thanks!
Scott
