I tired most of the tricks I encountered in other forum posts, like DisableUpnpSearch, EnableSeekTrickMode, ForceMP3CaptureStream and setting the max capture rate. All to no avail. Has anybody successfully used JamCast with XBMC?

Hi quintesse,

It definitely used to work fine with XBMC at one point -- I'm not sure we've heard much from XBMC users in the recent past though.

What seems to be the trouble exactly? Any error message? Can you browse Jamcast or is that not working either?

Thanks!
Scott

Hi Scott, well now that I found out that I can do a Play To from Windows to my XBMC (which is what I wanted anyway) I'm satisfied Smile
Thanks for your help!

installed jamcast trial today on my Win7 x64 laptop using Spotify to stream music to either my XBMC media center, XBOX 360 or my DLNA TV LG. Though streaming works for my XBOX 360 it doesn't work for XBMC or my LG 47LE8500.

I can add the virtual sound card as a location, but when I select the virtual sound card to play music there is no sound. If also tried the EnableSeekTrickMode, ForceMP3CaptureStream options, but without succes.

Any tips?

Ok, got jamcast working in XBMC, remains only playing to my TV, but XBMC is the most important. The only downside is that is reacts very slow to changes in tracks are volume.

Hi DKing

Glad to hear you gt that working with XBMC -- were there any tricks that you could share that might help someone else in the future?

Regarding the delay, some delay is normal. The initial (playback startup) delay is usually the most significant, but any buffering conditions along the way will certainly add to it.

How much delay are you experiencing?

Thanks!
