It would really make life easier instead of having to go from one device to another, remote controls, etc
But I wasn't able to find any information about this, is it not possible?

Hey quintesse,
Thanks for checking out Jamcast!
Sure, this is possible -- it's just that Jamcast doesn't include the piece that allows for that control (known as a Control Point).
Control Points work with devices and servers to accomplish the Play To functionality you speak of. Technically, and Control Point should work with Jamcast and any compatible device -- and you can use Windows 7 as a control point just as you do now.
Open WMP and you should be able to see Jamcast as an available library -- browse it like you would your local WMP library and select "Play To" as necessary.
Hope this helps!
Scott

Hi Scott,
thanks for your reply! But it was not exactly what I wanted, but that's because I didn't express myself correctly.
Thing is that what you say is nice but I already have that functionality through WMP as you say, I wouldn't need JamCast for that. But there is one feature JamCast has that WMP doesn't: the virtual soundcard, and it's *that* stream that I would like to push to another device, but it's not in the list of available options when going to the JamCast library in WMP.
So, any way to do that or any chance you'll add that feature in the future?
Thanks,
-Tako
PS: Not checking out, but a paying client! ^^

Hi Tako,
Thanks for your business!
I would expect this to work now, does the Virtual Soundcard not appear under Playlists when browsing Jamcast via WMP?
In other words, you should be able to browse Jamcast via WMP to the Virtual Soundcard track (Jamcast->Playlists->Virtual Soundcard) and right-click the track and select Play To.
So if it's not working for you now, I think we'll just need to figure out why (and possibly fix it)!
Thanks!
Scott

I was pretty sure I had look inside the "playlist" entry and that I had gotten a "not supported" message but I must have been imagining things because it works perfectly, and better yet it seems that doing a Play To to my XBMC works as well while trying to do it the other way around (browsing from XBMC to the published virtual sound card) doesn't, so that's good news (I had another question open for that one).

Very good news indeed!
Thanks!
