Hey there Jamcast users...!

I use Jamcast with my ps3 and panasonic surround set... works great!!

Though the time has come for me to buy a new receiver... speakers will follow...

2011/2012 receivers mostly support network stuff... DLNA streaming etc...

I was wondering if anyone has managed to stream spotify through their receiver without the help of jamcast and ps3... or only jamcast and receiver if that's possible (think not Tongue)

So if you have any experience or now a good source let me know please!!

Still think jamcast is great! Smile

Hi HotDuCk!

We receive generally favorable feedback on DLNA-enabled receivers from Onkyo, Denon, Kenwood, Yamaha, Pioneer, and Sony.

I have an Onkyo TX-NR609 sitting here and it works flawlessly, and it's a beautiful device. I have another older Onkyo unit (non-DLNA compatible) that still works perfectly after 6 years of being powered on pretty much 24/7. They make a great product for sure.

Onkyo also has Spotify built right in (they are the only receivers with this integration, AFAIK) which of course requires a Spotify Premium account, but of course Jamcast and the Virtual Soundcard comes to the rescue for non-Premium users.

I hope others give their opinions as well. Let us know what you select!

Thanks!
Scott

Heye there Scott,

I have been looking at the TX-NR609 aswell Smile it was a tough dicision... looked at many types of Denon, Yamaha, Onkyo and what not Tongue

But this morning... without even really setting things up... (DHCP is on) it recognized jamcast in the pc setup... so i choose pc and then further my pc etc... and there was virtual soundcard!

Doesn't work like it suppose but that will come later I think... the beginning is here!!

So cheers and I'll speak to you later!
