I am wondering how to fix a sound quality issue that I am having when streaming to my PS3. Playing the same track from my computer using ps3mediaserver and jamcast the ps3mediaserver sounds way better. played through jamcast it is sounding a bit dull. Is there a setting somewhere I can tweak? The only other difference is that with jamcast i am using the virtual sound card.
Thanks.

Hi ianxtreem,
Thanks for checking out Jamcast!
First question, is there a reason you prefer to play local tracks via the Virtual Soundcard versus playing them directly via the My Music menu, as you would with ps3mediaserver? Do you just want that control from the PC? Just curious...
My assumption here is this a volume/gain issue -- with the Virtual Soundcard the volume on your media player and also Windows are in play and are changing the quality of the sound. With direct streaming to the device, you've only got the device's volume knob (and whatever other DSP might be in play).
So, to answer your question, try playing with the volume on the media player and Windows to see if you can take that dullness away.
Does that help?
Thanks!
Scott
