I can se the device in jamcast device tab. But in the music server list of my X-SMC3 i cant se any musicserrver.

What can the problem be?

Hi Patrik!

Thanks for checking out Jamcast. Does the Pioneer device have any type of Refresh function on the server list that will allow it to search again?

I would also recommend turning off any firewall or other internet security products running on your Windows PC where Jamcast is installed, only temporarily as a troubleshooting measure. Once those are all turned off, restart the Jamcast service and check the Pioneer server list again. You might restart the Pioneer after this too, just in case to force it to search for Jamcast again.

Does this help?

Thanks!

When I turned off my Norton firewall all worked fine.
Do you know if there is any possibillity to set jamcast as some kind of trusted software?

Hi Patrik,

Great, I'm happy to hear it! BigGrin

Sure, you can certainly allow Jamcast to be trusted from now on. Tell Norton to allow the following ports:

UDP 1900
TCP 58642

You should be able to re-enable your firewall with these rules and Jamcast will still communicate with your Pioneer device properly.

Thanks!
